Safari shaped by photographers and conservationists.
Where the Wild Is Yours.
About Us
A Safari Shaped by Those Who Live It.
At Africa Eco Expeditions, our camp is more than a destinationβit is a deeply personal safari experience, shaped by the people who own and operate it. Designed and run by wildlife photographers and conservationists, the camp reflects decades of fieldcraft and a lifelong bond with nature. As an owner-operated lodge, every detailβeach vehicle, each viewpoint, each guest momentβis crafted with intention, expertise, and genuine care.Β
Set in the remote and ancient Lobo Valley, one of the Serengetiβs most secluded and storied landscapes, our camp offers true privacy amid a setting often described as biblical. Rolling valleys, granite kopjes, and sweeping plains are alive with wildlife, from prowling big cats to the quiet rhythm of the untamed Serengeti. This rare sense of exclusivity draws some of the worldβs foremost wildlife photographers, who return season after season to immerse themselves in its unparalleled natural beauty.
At the heart of this extraordinary wilderness is an equally remarkable team. Our highly trained naturalist guides, expert photographic professionals, and devoted camp crew deliver all the hallmarks of a classic safariβelevated by personalized attention and authentic warmth. Safaris have a unique way of bringing together people from all walks of life, forging connections and creating shared experiences that are truly unforgettable.Β
Africa Eco Expeditions is a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. Whether you are an award-winning photographer, an aspiring naturalist, or simply someone who delights in witnessing the beauty around you, there is a place for you in our community. We invite you to experience the awe-inspiring wilderness of Lobo Valley and join us on a shared journey unlike any otherβ where every moment connects you to the wild, to one another, and to the timeless spirit of Africa.
Our custom-engineered 4WD vehicles, built explicitly for photography and filming ensure youβre perfectly positioned for every encounter, from golden-hour portraits to fast-moving action.
There is nothing quite like falling asleep to the roars of our resident lion prides and waking at dawn to the soft rustle of the Valley.
Here, lion tracks etch the earth, elephants wander through molten morning light, and twice each year the thunder of the Great Migration rolls through Lobo from June through December. In this quiet corner of Tanzaniaβs most iconic national park, every game drive begins a story worth telling, and every day draws you deeper into the true heart of the wild.
Our Mission. Our Team.
Nothing thrives in isolation. Just as the great migration relies on the collective wisdom of the herd, our camp breathes through the lives of the people who call it home. We aren't just a team; we are a multi-generational family woven into the very soil we protect.
Bridging Generations
Our mission is simple yet profound: we create a bridge between the past and the future.
- For our Youth:
We provide a sanctuary for learning, offering young spirits the tools and training to build a stable, bright future.
- For our Elders:
We believe wisdom has no retirement date. By welcoming older generations back into the workforce, we honor their mastery and ensure their stories continue to shape our world.
Conservation Through Community
We believe that to protect the wild, we must first nourish the human spirit. When we provide fair wages and a place of belonging, we create a circle of stability that ripples outward. A person with a secure future is the greatest guardian of the land; by investing in our people, we are securing the long-term preservation of the Serengeti National Park.
A Tapestry of Belonging
This is more than a workplaceβit is a community where every voice is a distinct note in a larger song. Whether itβs the spark of a new idea or the steady hand of experience, every individual is cherished for their unique contribution. Together, we are proving that when you value the person, the land prospers. When you choose to stay at our camp you are not just going on safari. You are supporting a communityβboth the 2-legged and 4-legged kind.

A Message from the Owners
The Africa Eco Experience: A Home in the Wild
At Africa Eco Expeditions, we donβt just run a camp; we share a home. As an owner-operated retreat, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every guest who steps into the Lobo Valley should feel like they belong here. After 20+ years of working in the African bush, we can say with certainty: Lobo Valley is a hidden masterpiece. Here, the wildlife density particularly our legendary big cat populations is world-class, yet the experience remains profoundly intimate.
Ultimate Seclusion:
On most game drives, the only tracks youβll see are from the wildlife. It is entirely likely that you will spend your day without encountering another vehicle, a rarity in the modern Serengeti.
A Proven Legacy:
We measure our success by the friends who return. 60% of our guests are repeat visitors, and 70% of our new guests arrive via word-of-mouth recommendations.
Unrivaled Expertise:
Our deep roots in the valley mean we donβt just show you animals; we introduce you to the complex, beautiful rhythm of an ecosystem we know by heart.
In the Lobo Valley, we trade the "safari circuit" for a sanctuary. We invite you to experience the privacy, the predators, and the peace of a place that remains truly wild.
